To the Editor:
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure to meet Mark Shepard. I was pleased with several points that he made. Mark wants to cut taxes - we all want that. He wants to cut bureaucratic red tape - we all need and want that.
Mark wants to protect our property rights. I sometimes wonder why people own property. Don't you feel that you're often restricted whenever you want to do something? You are the one paying the taxes for the privilege to own it and someone else tries to tell you what you can do with it.
Mark wants public access to public lands. This would likely give ATVs and snow machines an excellent place to ride. Mark has been in public office and knows how the government operates - he has the experience that I feel is necessary to be our congressman.
Please vote in the primary on Sept. 12 for Mark Shepard.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Bumps
